01 The Bury St Edmunds office page carries the Thetford fax number and an unreplaced Wix placeholder email two months after the October 2025 rebrand.
What I saw
The live Bury St Edmunds office page at rudlingsllp.co.uk/bury-st-edmunds-office-1 lists fax 01842 766143, which is the Thetford office number, not Bury. The site-wide contact form footer still carries the literal Wix template placeholder address INFO@MYSITE.COM seven months after the October 2025 Rudlings rebrand. A client who lands on the Bury page, picks up the public number to verify, and gets a Thetford fax, then scrolls down to email and meets a placeholder address, has every reason to think the firm is not paying attention to its own front door.
What the rebuild does about it
After rebuild: the Bury page reads as the Bury page. The Bury 01284 755771 number is the only number on the page. The fax line is removed entirely (Rudlings does not publish a Bury fax). The verified info@rudlingsllp.co.uk address is wired to every form, every mailto, and every footer; the MYSITE.COM Wix default is gone. Office-specific JSON-LD includes the Bury postal address, the Bury phone, and the Bury SRA number 662788, so the wires upstream match the wires on the page.
02 The Children’s Law Panel accreditation, the firm’s most distinguishing credential in East Anglia, is buried three clicks deep and never named on the Bury St Edmunds office page.
What I saw
Rudlings holds Law Society Children’s Panel membership and runs one of the largest dedicated children’s law teams in the East of England. The accreditation is only surfaced at rudlingsllp.co.uk/our-services/family-law-department/childrens-law, three clicks from the homepage and zero clicks visible from the Bury St Edmunds office page itself. Richard Bevan is named as Head of Care on the Bury team list, but the page never says he leads a Children’s Panel team. A parent in Bury or West Suffolk searching for a child-care solicitor has no way to tell from the office page that the team they want is the team in this building.
What the rebuild does about it
After rebuild: the Bury team list names Richard Bevan as Head of Children’s Law (Care), with the Law Society Children’s Panel mark visible inline next to his name. A dedicated specialism block on the rebuilt office page explains, in plain language, what Panel membership actually covers (public-law care proceedings, CAFCASS guardian liaison, separate-representation orders for children) so the parent reading at 11pm understands without legalese. The Lexcel, CQS and Children’s Panel badges sit together in the hero credentials grid, not three clicks deep.
03 The post-rebrand Wix site ships with no LocalBusiness or LegalService JSON-LD, no per-office structured data, and no AggregateRating markup for the 838 four-point-eight-star Bury reviews on file.
What I saw
View-source on the live homepage and the Bury office page returns zero <script type="application/ld+json"> blocks. There is no Organization record, no LegalService block, no per-office Place record, no Person record for the heads of department, and no AggregateRating element even though 838 reviews at 4.8 stars sit on ReviewSolicitors for Bury alone and 792 reviews at 4.8 sit for Thetford. Google, Bing and the LLM-powered search assistants now answering legal queries have nothing structured to pull from a firm that on paper is one of the most decorated in the four-office East Anglia footprint.
What the rebuild does about it
After rebuild: a single graph of LegalService plus four Place records (one per office) plus Person records for the six partners plus Service records for conveyancing, wills and probate, commercial and children’s law. AggregateRating populated with the live ReviewSolicitors numbers, hasCredential entries for Lexcel, CQS and Children’s Panel, foundingDate 1923-01-01 on the firm record. The rebuild also publishes an FAQPage block so the parent-friendly answers can surface directly in Google’s rich-results panel.
